Time for Some Changes

This Space, of Course
It’s time for a bit of spring cleaning and redecorating on the blog, and some changes will be appearing over the next few days. No worries–it will still be the same blog with sundry writing by yours truly, but I wanted to step things up and expand my range of topics to include more lifestyle posts along with the essays. Many changes will be made live, so if something changes while you’re reading a post, that’s what is going on. Feel free to let me know what you think
Update, 18 April:
The new header with logo and tagline is up, and we’re working on shaking up the categories and rewriting my About page. Still waiting for my new glasses to arrive, and hope they make for a fresh new author’s photo, too. I think my life as a writer is at one with my life as a Minimalist, and I want to convey more of that in my blog.

Exciting! Looking forward to it.
Hi Belinda–I’m excited too
Terrific! I love redecorating blogs! I look forward to seeing the changes as they evolve. Love the new tagline. I will devour everything you write on writing and life too!

Hi Sandra–now that I’ve got a few books under my belt, it made sense to evolve my blog into as much of an author’s site as a minimalism site. Keeps things relevant, hmm?
Can’t wait to see! Recently completed a course on writing blog foundational pieces (sort of–I got a little stuck on some parts and need to go back to them) and it was great to really think through what our blog is about–which means what we are about. I hope you’ve been enjoying the experience. I like the logo–conveys strength and energy.

Hi Rita–I’m starting to get this “what our blog is about” thing, only took me two years :} Glad you like the logo, and will be making a few more changes in the days ahead.
Great! Looks good. I think I need a blog refurbishment
Hi Willow–Thanks! More tweaking yet to come. Conventional wisdom says a blog should be redesigned every couple of years or so, and that’s where this one is at
Very exciting stuff — I’m generally not big on “conventional wisdom,” BUT we all change every few years, so I suspect even we unconventional thinkers need a change every now and then — not that we’d ever admit to going along with the conventional types!
Meanwhile, I can check out more of your blogroll! I’ve enjoyed the one’s I’ve checked out so far!
Hi Queen Mary–unconventional is generally good
Glad you enjoy the blogroll; I need to update it soon, and will likely move it to a page of links.
Change is good, we need it once in a while. I love your blog topics, articles, everything! Can’t wait to see your blog’s new look!
